Another factor involved in the mixed demographics of the riot is that claims are already being made of Police instigators in the crowds. Video is out of a white guy in a gas mask, all black, and carrying an umbrella that was allegedly the first to chuck a brick through the Autozone's window (and thus started the looting). After doing so, the guy hightailed it out of there, and went back to the precinct, and was very aggressive towards those filming him. Quite possibly a bunch of BS, but it's shows the total confusion/suspicion of the situation.

Very strange indeed. I don’t see any indicators that he is a cop but certainly not part of the rest of the demographic. Could very well have been a paid BLM instigator, or could just be some nut bag with nothing to lose.

I watched the video several times. Knee pressure on the back of the neck would be considered deadly force in a lot of jurisdictions. Pressure applied between the shoulder blades would be understandable if you had to control a resistive subject in handcuffs, but that was not was seen on the video. Positional asphyxia is a consideration if the arrested subject is complaining about breathing.

Once the scuffle is over, the suspect is in handcuffs and they are not kicking anyone who approaches them the fight is over. Your ego and your feelings are left at home before you begin your shift and they should not interfere with the way you do your job.

I just logged off Facebook where I was on LEO only and department only threads. 100% of the active and retired LEO on the threads are really upset about the death of Mr. Floyd. Two of the LEO who were appalled by the death of Mr. Floyd posted pics of bullet holes in their squad cars. Just because some asshole shot at you yesterday, does not mean you treat someone from the same neighborhood badly today.

Let the investigation run it's course and indict anyone who has it coming.

This episode has me in a conundrum. I hope I can properly convey my feelings & thoughts and not come off as condoning either the riots, or the MURDER of the arrested gentleman. I DONT.
But- with the way local & state governments have acted of late with the corona hysterics..for the first time we've made religious gatherings of Christians & Jews illegal. I say Christians & Jews because as of yet Ive not seen the first mosque closed or the first Imam arrested.
I have saved dozens of instances where Christians & Jews have been arrested, fined, targeted & harassed. On top of all the other unconstitutional shit thats been pulled. I WANT the government to fear retribution by the people. I WANT a price to be paid for their illegal, immoral laws, I WANT them to know that everytime they pull some unlawful shit- HELL is coming.
I LONG for the day we gun owners have the guts to stand up like this. VA was a starting point, but even that was nothing, really. Did nothing to stop the rat bastards there from enacting anti-gun laws. What other way can people get the attention of those in charge- to SHOW them how pissed they are and they arent gonna take it anymore?
Ill have to be honest and say, THIS TIME I see things differently. Had the guy been a child molester, or killed people or a rapist...I wouldnt really care. But, forgery & bad checks, youre gonna suffocate him, with your ****in hands in your pocket? A part of me does say BURN THAT SHIT DOWN. But a bigger part realizes that isnt the answer. I bet the cops involved are living in great fear. GOOD. Thats EXACTLY the way I want the demonrat party to feel. And anyone else who cant follow the Constitutuion. They should ALL have to live like that. Voting & peaceful protests are getting people nowhere...again I point to VA.
At SOME point weapons are gonna have to be used. At SOME point righteous violence MUST occur. Jefferson affirmed that with his Tree of Liberty quote.
With the election coming soon, and all else going on, with much more to come as the election draws near..God only knows whats being cooked up as we speak..we are in for a rough rest of the year. I really truly think is past time for some 1776 type stuff again. But how/when/where & who to lead..well, thats the question.

After watching the video, Floyd was murdered. Who knows if the charges will get plead down to involuntary manslaughter or at worst, 2nd degree murder?

Now about the rioting. If this is how the Tree of Liberty gets watered in Hennepin County, Minnesota, I want no part of it. If I owned a business in that vicinity, I might adopt a Korean rooftop defensive stance, and the bodies might pile up - at least until my place became too costly to attack.

    Good post.

I think we're all in this conundrum. It sounds like most of us here, as well as most people in this country, understand and support the anger behind this. I think where I'm sitting right now, this is how I feel: They are right to be angry. They are right that this is an injustice that can't go unpunished. They are right that sometimes violence is the only answer when peace fails. They are wrong for turning to violence in this stage of the incident. They are wrong for using this kind of violence at ANY stage of an incident; targeting of innocents is intolerable, and counterproductive at that. They are also wrong in their end game, which is ultimately a socialist revolution that will result in further targeting of innocents. But regardless of all this, it sends the message to the government that the people can only be pushed so far, and injustice can only be ignored for so long, before people strike back.

Ultimately, it may send them a message of what could happen if they insist on "gun buybacks".

Looks like a lot of rioting is happening again tonight.

This whole situation stinks 110% of Soros, BLM, Antifa and other leftist provocateurs. Already posted above is the suspicious person who seems to have started the violent rioting. There are many reports from Mpls public officials that a lot of the rioters are not locals. Mpls is a long, long drive from anywhere you would get rental mobs, so this was either planned in advance, or ad-hoc activated the very instant that Floyd got killed.

The officer who seemingly killed Floyd apparently has a long bad history, and in a prior incident was apparently declined prosecution by none other than VP candidate Klobuchar. That could just be a super-weird coincidence... but it's way out there. I'd be buying lottery tickets if I believed in that kind of coincidence.

Also worth noting is that up through around 2000 or so the Twin Cities had very minor race issues compared to any other midwestern city over 500,000 population (and most over 200k). Racial tension has been growing somewhat since 2000, mostly in relation to the Somali population, but the riots from the Floyd killing are a really sudden outburst in one of the least likely large cities. It just feels like a set-up. I have read claims that China, as in the Chinese Communist Party, funds and directs BLM for its own purposes - I don't know if there's any evidence for that, but the timing is phenomenal.

Make all the tinfoil jokes you want, this incident is part of the 2020 presidential contest and the major struggle for control over the US going forward.

    "Warriors"

Out of every 100 men, ten shouldn't even be there, eighty are just targets. Nine are the real fighters and we are lucky to have them for they make the battle. Ah, but the one...one is a Warrior, and he will bring all the others back.
