    Pawn shop find. S&W 28-2

Picked up a S&W 28-2 with a 6 inch barrel today at a pawn shop. The grips are in rough shape but the gun is tight and has very few minor blemishes on it. Got it for 600 out the door. From the serial number it looks to be circa 1971 timeframe.

    That’s a dandy.
Try Tyler T-Grip. You’ll likely find the gun easier to shoot well.
A true "Gun Guy" (or gal) should have familiarity and a modicum of proficiency with most all firearms platforms.

You did well. Those guns are going nowhere but up in value.

I occassy bring a revolver to my PD range. You'd be surprised how many cops have never shot one

I’ve got a couple of those, one was issued by my LE agency back in the day. Your grandchildren won’t wear that revolver out (as long as it’s kept clean and oiled).

I received an email from Bud’s yesterday wanting to purchase used S&W revolvers (so there must be an increasing demand). Not interested.

There definitely is a demand. Actually demand is up for anything with available ammo. I'm seeing some weird and oddball stuff having bids in double digits on GB. My buddy has an H&R buffalo classic. It's a simple single shot break open 45-70. Ten years ago they were like $300 all day and no one cared. Today, approaching $700 on GB without breaking a sweat. I'm seeing used S&W model 10s in decent condition selling for close to $500 where as before they would be in the mid $300 unless excellent condition. If you saw what I sold my last Mosin for you'd call me a thief. Took less than an hour and the guy went for the "Buy it Now" I should have had a higher Buy it Now!
