    Beretta 92 Steel I

I just bought this Beretta 92 steel I today, built 2010. Unlike most 92s, the safety is frame mounted and the frame is carbon steel rather than alloy, with a nickel alloy finish, so it’s a heavy gun.

So much so that the original owner, a lady, didn’t like the heft at all. The LGS bought it back from her, then put it on the rentals rotation for their range, where it had little success. I think most walk-ins who rent guns are youngsters who are more interested in modern plastic fantastic and rails.

Well her loss, my gain for a mere $ 1000 with case, lock and manual

And it’s a great shooter too, the first ten shots at 25 meters

It makes a great pair with the 92 combat

Put in the Xtreme S Trigger for the 93X Performance and call it good!

    Nice!

Very nice. The steels and combats don’t show up all that much

Wow OP, can't say that I have ever seen that configuration on a Beretta. Very nice.

I've always wanted a Steel I or II. Came pretty close to pulling the trigger on one once, but it was just too spendy.

I own several Berettas and think that they're great looking guns, but it's beyond my understanding why Beretta sticks with that horrible slide mounted safety design. I think they'd sell a ton more if they'd just offer that frame mounted safety on an entry level pistol.

This was clearly a pistol rescue ... We are all better for your effort.

Yeah. Whoever made that decision needs a swift kick in the nuts.
