It’s a state issue. Fed govt shouldn’t have any jurisdiction unless it’s military bases, ports of entry, court houses or post offices. Other than those places they can piss off. The people in those states have voted for those piece of shit politicians that let this happen, screw them and their constituents. They’ve bought and paid for it, now they can own it. And that’s what Trump has been doing.

John Brown goes to Harper's Ferry to use violence to make a political statement. The President can act immediately to quell the insurrection with State and or Federal Military and Law Enforcement forces.

Harper's Ferry, IIRC, was a federal armory and, therefore, federal property. If John Brown had attacked, say, the General Assembly in Richmond, it would have more likely been the Virginia militia, under orders from the governor of Virginia, that would have been called on to suppress him.

The conservative group Team Save America organized the event to protest Twitter, which it argues censors free speech. They planned to rally at United Nations Plaza before moving the protest to Twitter's headquarters a few blocks away. But the event quickly devolved into a shouting match and violence as hundreds of counterprotesters stormed the scene.

Video shows one counterprotester punching Philip Anderson, an organizer of the event, knocking one of his teeth out.
