Philadelphia protests turning violent; what's happening in your AOR?

Well our aor is still the same in regards to protests being a non-issue, but certainly on the radar with covid...went through the same deal with the swine version where hospitals were over capacity but nobody remembers. We just have a very unhealthy population & also taking in patients from Mex which does not get reported.

One issue that wasn't covered or resurface was how well LEO squashed what was supposed to be the next hot spot in Austin. There were some interviews from the protestors saying these guys aren't messing around...I really thought a 2nd wave was gonna happen this weekend but haven't seen anything. The austin mayor is a putz & told APD to stand down but sounds like abbott brought in the troopers & the police chief finally grew a pair.

Neighbors have seen the parade of UPS trucks dropping off ammo. They seem to be on their best behavior now.

Looks like the young communists plan of taking it to the 'burbs didn't work out for them in this neighborhood. Watch it through- it turns into a one sided slugfest.

I'm in a blue state, but in a red, rural area. They likely would have the same welcome here.

After waking up today, the news is detailing Chicago (30 min away from me) has been hit pretty bad all night and it's still trickling to a stop at the moment. Jewelers shops among others being looted. Reports from people on the ground were saying they were well organized and knew where the cops were located. As the officers shifted to a different location for a different group, the looters came back. Groups of 60+.

No idea where this came from. Didn't hear anything yesterday evening that something like was likely to happen, then again, I was busy all day moving an engine lathe. Businesses are still being boarded up and the city had raised the bridges. The last time they did that, the aldermen got ticked because it filtered a lot of the scum into the residential neighborhoods.
