    The 6mm ARC program?

    I guess when 5.56, 6.8, or 6.5 Creedmore won't do...

I'm sure there's a point to this somewhere. A specialized, niche requirement maybe?

"Barrett, Hornady and OSS have now confirmed that they have partnered to provide the US Department of Defense with a new rifle chambered in 6mm ARC."

When 224 Valkyrie or 22 Nosler or 300 Blackout or 6.5 Grendel just wont cut it...

Hornady's promo. Turns out that it's more effective than most laser-guided bombs and 120mm APFSDS:

Well, it is essentially a 6ppc w/ minor changes as not to infringe of which you either win or get beat by in short range benchrest but that deserves a 1/14 twist & 66-68gr pills. I think what that market needs is a gun just a hair bigger than the AR-15 to handle the 6br case & heavier / longer pills. The 6br / Dasher round would be ideal but the AR-10 is a boat anchor.

Cool they’ve brought 6mm Lee Navy performance to the 21st century! Albeit in a smaller case that is easily accommodated in current magazines and platforms.

Probably a good cartridge, but it’s a crowded market. At least it runs an available bolt face already.

That's a pretty good guess since they have a love affair with proof. They adopted the Barrett MRAD but with proof barrels I believe.
