It’s using higher quality components compared to the TRP line.

I went ahead and purchased on and have only had a few minutes to play with it. I'm not a 1911 expert by any means and this is my first full size 1911. I had a commander sized Kimber about 10-12 years ago and sold it. Regardless this is a very clean looking, nice feeling weapon. The trigger is nice and crisp although it has a bit of creep before you hit that wall then it brakes nicely. It doesn't feel that heavy in anyway, at least empty. WE shall see what it feels like with a full magazine. Now its time to purchase a few more magazines, a holster and get out to the range to shoot it.

Two things I’m not digging is the rear sight hanging over the slide and that weave RCS where it intersects with the flats.

They should have put the Bomar rear on it honestly.

The rear sight hanging over does look bad.

There is a reason for the rear sight overhanging the slide. Many years ago Novak make a rear sight that fits in the GI dovetail and it hangs over the rear of the slide. I've seen some pictures of 1911s that Mr. Vickers teammates used that had those Novak. I truly believe that Wilson's sight was design to somewhat mimic the look of those old Novaks.

    It's the DCP1911 model:

I like the gun and doing my best to talk someone to sell it to me. Fingers crossed.

Yep, that's the style. Not many people can remember the 745.

I almost got one as my dealer has the one with the IPSC 10th Anniversary like the one you pictured, but didn't.
