How to remove brake from m107a1?

I'm wanting to clean my rifle and not bang around my scope while I clean the upper, how do I remove the barrel from the upper? I assume remove the brake. It has 1 torx bolt, but is the brake still threaded on? And if yes to threads on brake, do I hammer it off like the old (2 bolt) version?

Also, what torque to reinstall the brake?

Goodness, the Barrett manual sucks. Does tell you how to take the bolt apart either. Or much else.

The first reply has the old brake which bolts on different.

The second reply contains a link where they don't remove the barrel from the upper and bang around the scope while cleaning. These are not cheap scopes on these.

Thanks for the replays but neither answer the question.

I’d call Barrett. They actually answer the phone and knowledgeable people will be brought into the convo if the regular CS person doesn’t know the answer. I had an issue with my rifle and they actually had their head engineer call me back in an hour or so.
