    Here's an interesting development:

Louisville cop shot in Breonna Taylor raid sues her boyfriend, alleging ‘emotional distress’

The lawsuit is a counterclaim to a civil complaint that Walker filed in September against the city of Louisville and its police department. The licensed gun owner, who fired a single shot when plainclothes officers burst into his girlfriend’s apartment on March 13, seeks immunity from prosecution under Kentucky’s “stand your ground” law and demands compensation for “assault, battery, false arrest and imprisonment, malicious prosecution, abuse of process and negligence,” according to his lawsuit.

Going back through the thread, I did not see anyone correct the notion that this was a no knock warrant. The "no knock" was a narrative pushed by media.
The officers in question did in fact knock and identify themselves as police. They did so over the course of a few minutes to allow occupants to respond. This was corroborated by the next door neighbor.

    3 October 2020 article date

    https://www.wlky.com/article/breonna...-raid/34254007

"During an interview with Hall, a neighbor, who lived next door to Taylor, claimed officers didn't identify themselves before they broke in saying he "knows for a fact nobody announced" themselves as police. The neighbor went on to say "he would've felt safer if someone announced themselves because he thought he was getting robbed.""

My understanding was that it "Was" a No Knock Warrant" but they chose to knock instead of using No Knock techniques and procedures.
I would speculate that between the initial Knock and the Announcement that it was Police, Breonna got up and ended up between the door and her Boyfriend when he began shooting. She was caught between the two.

That's what I have read so far which seems odd. Still trying to pin the facts down on that one.

The not secret now grand jury proceedings indicates the police didn't ID themselves per the neighbor.

Have not seen it was corroborated. Do you have a source? What I had read to date was, LE team claims they announced themselves and shooter claims they didn't, and technically was a no knock warrent. If there's a witness who corroborated the LE version, that's another aspect of this event that puts the cluster F that was this event on the shooter. Shooter claims he sent a "warning shot" through the door thinking it was a robbery... um k.

My understanding as well. I am no supporter of politifact as I find them to be anything but truthful, but here's what they said:

Apparently there's neighbors who say one thing and other neighbors who say something else.

    I wasn't there. Soooo.....
