Been shooting 1911s since mid 70s and have had a lot - Wilson, Baer, Colt, Springfield and a few lesser brands I can’t recall. What I’ve settled on for when I carry a 1911 is a DW Valor.
Near custom quality, beautiful aesthetics (duty coat), American-made with no mim parts. ACCURATE!!!
On the down side, I don’t care for Heinie sights - so those have been replaced by much brighter night sights.
EVERYTHING I need or want in a 1911, and at a decent price.
