California has a huge income, they have really profited from the trade with the Pacific region, defense, and technology industries. Assuming they were allowed to secede (extremely unlikely), the loss of income from space/defense and shipping of goods from China would be as disastrous as the direct transfer of federal funding.

IMHO, the left is soft on China because they want to protect one of their cash cows, the flow of goods through the ports in California, Seattle, and Portland. Of course they fought President Trump's tariffs, which would have reduced trade with China.

Problem is Federal courts still depend on Grand Juries to indict and Juries to try, and good luck finding a jury pool in any Federal District Court with jurisdiction on DC that's not Koolaider Dem...

Fortunately the judge ensures jurors are focused on the facts. If the charges are solid jurors have an obligation to make a determination. The issue with federal courts is that corrupt judges like Emmet Sullivan who have deep ties with the DNC have been weaponized against political adversaries. Judges like Sullivan should be removed via Article VI due to clear bias and a long standing and overt conflict of interest when it comes to cases against the DNC leadership or their political adversaries. He has made countless smears and statements over the years that support his bias. His actions have also demonstrated clear intent to obstruct justice when dealing with matters of President Trump, Trump’s Associates, and Trump’s Foundation. His handling of General Flynn shows clear means and intent to his political bias. I would assume the DNC leadership has significant influence on Sullivan given his clear willingness to violate his sworn oath to attack Trump and support the previous administrations abuse of powers and shelter any ongoing establishment DNC corruption.

You maybe assuming everything else remains static. The new peoples republic newly unshackled from reality will no doubt open up the leftist/PC playbook and start running the plays. What does every communist country do? Try to convince the people stuck/living there that they have it so great and that every place else sucks. On the other side what's left of the US changes some of their own rules to prevent infiltration and takeover. Welfare programs maybe reduced and the requirements for enrollment strengthened. Citizenship requirements could also be tightened and immigrants screened vigorously. Military service/public service could become a requirement for voting rights. Just thinking out loud here.

I really don't want any of this to happen and I am cautiously optimistic the rest of our countrymen and women will wake up in time to prevent this disaster.

The current crop of pols have allowed this to grow and fester and thus I do not believe they have the guts to do the things you mention. I have no faith in the SCOTUS either. Since when does a warring couple go their separate ways? That simply doesn't happen in the real world. If they do, they weren't warring to begin with. What happens is one or both tries to take everything they can from the other one and it gets down and dirty.

Balkanization is the preferred solution. If you haven't looked lately THEY ARE WINNING and the timeline of history suggests that they will continue to do so until what you think etc...is completely irrelevant. So, we can accept Communist tyranny- long term option, we can murder the shit out of one another in another Civil War, short term option with no guarantee of success, or we can secede and hope it's enough to save something of the American experiment.
