I did say a red dot. Lpvo 1-4 helps a little bit with seeing target past 50 yards or so. Rifle is still the exact same as came off the assembly line

And what percentage would you guess roll with plastic sights here? Do you think the guys talking up the stock trigger and it's swellness are maybe changing their sights too?

I do leave the plastic sights on some of my Glocks and just color the front sight with a sharpie or nail polish. For matches and training it works well enough for my skill level. I usually use Ameriglos on my carry guns, if applicable.

I kind of chuckle when I read the posts that go 'just bought a new G19.5, what's the best aftermarket trigger for it?' And they haven't even shot it.

It is a little different with sights. I want either a green fiber optic or black on black for range pistols. I know that from experience. What I don't know is how/where the pistol shoots until, well, you know, I've actually shot it.

My stock plastic sights shot 10" high at 25 yds. I put a 10-8 rear and fiber optic front and made it into a serious SD gun. A gunfight is not the time to try and find your front sight.

I wont argue sights. Stock sights offer no training benefit and changing cannot hurt relability. And yours were apparently defective.

Run whatever trigger you want, but if it doesnt work, go back to glock. By stock, i mean glock brand.
It really doesnt matter unless you’re competing (GM ), training does.

That's why I kept mine relatively stock, just some sights and a low key spring change with a tiny bit of polishing. I've seen some high end trigger kits that weren't reliable (mostly wouldn't reset properly) and felt pretty terrible to boot.

I like Overwatch Precision for an aftermarket trigger on a carry gun, but I typically just leave it be. Glock triggers will smooth out over time. I put oil on the connector like the others above me do.

Since Glock triggers work as an assembly to accomplish multiple things, I'm not wild about triggers that take up tons of pretravel/creep to the point that they begin engaging safety features.

I agree with this advice. I've found that the 3.5lb disconnector improves the trigger feel. After a few thousand rounds the gun will be broken in, and the trigger will have a perceptibly "better" feel compared to it out of the box.

The G34 already has a 3.5lb connector in it. It’s really called a 4.5lb or minus connector.

OP, you can put a reduced safety plunger spring in and a 4.5lb striker spring. The 4.5lb striker spring will lower the pull close to a pound.

Or you can go all out and get a Johnny Glock competition trigger kit with his striker. That’s as good as it gets but the springs alone Weill be less then 10 bucks and make a big difference.
