    RTIC coolers GTG?

I have a weekend camping trip coming up and I'm looking for a cooler. I'm thinking of the RTIC 65 because there's going to be a lot of us. I know it's overkill for a weekend trip, but I may one day need a cooler for more than a weekend, and I'd rather buy a good cooler now than have 2 coolers down the road.

Anyway, is there anyone with experience that can let me know if RTIC coolers are GTG? Don't bother suggesting Yeti btw...

I have the soft 40 cooler and it's great, I have no reason to suspect their hard coolers aren't just as good.

In my experience, they are every bit as good as yeti. That said, Ozark Trail from Walmart compares very favorably to Yeti/Rtic mugs as well. Im generally a believer in you get what you pay for vut when it comes to coolers I make an exception

RTIC in my experience is as good as Yeti but without the Woke SJW Bullshit IIRC. Ozark Trail = Chinese slave-labor.

I have an RTIC soft cooler. Very pleased. I would have hard cooler but I needed one before I could get it shipped so I bought a knock off local.

We’ve liked all of our RTIC products. Very well made and RTIC was sued by yeti for patent infringement when they first came out.

Infringement is one way to say it. They were straight copies really.

I have one of the 65 they are GTG. My buddy brought his otter box and Yetti that are similar sizes on our beach trip. RTIC and YETI both performed the about the same for ice retention (basically beer coolers we kept on a covered deck. The otter box was lacking in ice retention compared to the other 2. Pre Chill really helps if you need/want to hold ice for as long as possible. I usually just use a sacrificial bag of bag of ice or 3. You can put in freezer as well

I also bought my dad the 55 Lifetime cooler from Walmart. It is not a true roto mold from what i remember but was ranked high on the reviews i read. I like the way it locks up and it holds ice a long time as well. If you are looking to save some money the 55 qt is like $99 and they make a size up for not much more.

Oh yeah and good ones to boot. I ordered my RTIC soft side when they were fire selling them. And it is pretty much a yeti. But at the end of the day I’d bet a lot of these coolers are made in the same Chinese factory.
