Well there are reports of the optic plate/rear BUIS flying off while shooting, so that's not great. SOF and CF don't share all of the same money, but there are more people in the Army trained on Glock than Sig. Plus more associated equipment with NSNs and all of that. Either way, they Sigs are far more shootable than the M9 was.

Conventional is larger than the SF side, not vice versa, so I strongly disagree about which is more trained on what. Sigs have the right amount of NSN's already in the system already by now from being fielded long ago so which has more is mute, too.

*SGM Bradley Kasal you meant to say, right? For all the flak and hate the M9 had, it worked for him when everyone said that is wasn't supposed to work and a POS, right? The M17/M18 isn't any different and will work too when the time is right. Thank you for validating my point.

Bravo for capturing my unedited post, but yes. Didn’t say anything about model of handgun just that a handgun made the difference in that house. And handguns are nice to have around at times and there have been other gunfights during GWOT that came down to pistols. I have no doubt the M17/18s will work and am glad the M9s are being replaced.

    No, there wasn't.
