    Alchemy Custom Weaponry - Prime

I’ve been on a journey with 1911’s... many have come and gone, some good and bad, only one I regret parting with.

To keep it short, I had a hankering for a nice blued government model chambered in 45 ACP without all the bells and whistles, but nicely fit and finished.

The Prime model by Alchemy Custom Weaponry seemed to fit my desires. I really like Rob’s build philosophy and found one in stock at a dealer online.

Having never seen one in the flesh, count me as impressed. Very nicely done firearm. The plan is to get out to the range this weekend.... so nothing to report just yet.

As a blued finish, I figured it would never look this clean again as the day I took it home. So here is my attempt at decent iPhone pictures.

Would be interested to hear your experiences with ACW.

Don't let your shooting buddy near it, he might drop it in the dirt. Sell it before it gets dirty.

Riots are like sports, it's better to watch it on TV at home.

Drop it like it's hot brother Sam... this weekend you'll have to show me how to handle that 'big bore' 1911 as I've been spoiled by the 9mm.

    A dandy indeed.

I'm scared of .45s, they kick like a mule.
