I thought this was pretty interesting. Never saw this type of ammo before. Wonder what it does to the rifling if anything?

I always thought it would interesting too see where the material would go in an actual ELR configuration; 375 cheytac, 416 Barrett, etc.

I saw a pic of the flechette round recently. Interesting that the article mentioned that round.

I'm not sure about this ammunition, but back in the early 80's I had the opportunity to snag a similar type of ammunition sold by a Law Enforcement Distributor in Indiana. If I remember correctly it was manufactured by a company called FFV... ( may have been British ) They even sent me a video showing the capabilities at distance on common Battlefield targets and what could be expected from the rounds. It showed them shooting a burst from a Mag-58 into an APC at 200 meters punching holes easily through the armor, Helicopter Glass that was like 3" thick, and a number of other typical light armor... They also said that since it used a copper jacket with the special core, that it would be quite easy on the standard barrels used by most NATO forces, and could be used in a standard battle rifle ( at the time the demo'd with an FAL )
I wish at the time I had a little more funding to have stashed some of this ammo, but since it was 6 US dollars a round I decided to pass... ( I could have been the hit of the party...! )
