    30 caliber can

    HI,

I'm looking for a 30 caliber can. I'm considering a Griffin Recce 7, Silencerco Omega, or Dead Air Nomad. I already have griffin taper mounts. Priorities are 1) decibels, 2) size and 3) blowback, in that order. How would you evaluate these cans?

    thanks.

I’d recommend the griffin or nomad over the omega.

What platform are you going to be using it on?
    I paint spaceship parts.

    BCM 9inch 300 blk, a few short barrel 7.62x39, and a SCAR

I love my griffin cans but that Nomad is awesome and has less blowback than the Recce 7, plus you can use griffins excellent taper mounts with the plan A adaptor that keeps your weight and oal down plus better/repeatable poi than the keymo setup. It’s a win win. However the Recce is a more robust can and can take a ton of punishment, it seems to meter a little quieter as well.

Scar is a hard beast to suppress, I’d highly recommend changing your gas jets. Check out Parker mountain machine for that info.

I have SWR and Dead Air .30 suppressors. Were I to do it, again, I'd go with the Energetic Armament Vox-S. It is about the size of most 5.56 suppressors, is light, and surprisingly quiet. It also is a fair price and can use LOTS of different companies' mounts.
