but it's still on my list.
Just bought a 40 in the year 2020.... along with plenty of affordable ammo for it too. So much hate for the 40??? I don't get it. It was it either that or throwing rocks. There hasn't been a box of 9mm or 45acp in the local stores for 6 months. Will pick up 9mm, 22, .357autosig conversions for it when the budget allows.
I guess that these loads will work against varmints. Plenty of raccoons, foxes, coyotes, and occasional anarchisttifas around here.

45acp??? Yawn....Well, at least the good ones can shoot 450smc.
Thank you Glock for making a Gen5 40. Thank you keltec for making a sub2k in 40 for Glock magazines. Thank you limpwristed shooters that made the discontinued Keltec P40 dirt cheap at the local pawn shop. And, thank you Charter for making a 40sw revolver for all that questionable imported ammo, that doesn't quite work well in the automatics.
And, thank you firearm manufacturers for all those other 40s&w carbines... HiPoint, Beretta, Ruger, Taurus, TNW, Kriss, JRC, RRA, CMMG.... that nobody ever wanted and everyone sneered at.
Anyone see a Marlin 1894 10/40 at their local pawn or LGS????
Please bring all your 40sw firearms and ammo to your local pawn shop, or donate to the local church raffle.
In theory, wouldn't a Gen4 g32 357 barrel work in a new gen5 g23? I get the full size locking block changed, but the 19 block stayed the same in all the gens. I read they only changed out outside dimensions on the gen 5's. So the barrel should be the same? I went to pick one up but they only had a 19X (Barf) and a G45.
One of our friends gave us 200 rounds of 165 gr 40 S&W ammo, so I got to shoot my old G22 yesterday. Wow that thing is snappy. I've been shooting these candy ass 9mms so much that it was a shock to shoot a man's pistol again.

Funny as snappy is how I described shooting another officers 357sig years ago when they came out. I liked the ballistic info we were getting at the time, but ultimately decided to stick with my 40 cal. Now when I shoot both my G17 & G22, the 9mm seems like light loads even when its factory ammo.

Disclosure: I am affiliated PRN with a tactical training center, but I speak only for myself. I have no idea what we sell, other than CLP and training. I receive no income from sale of hard goods.
Nope. I've a little under 2000 rounds of lawman training ammo and enough speer carry ammo but no gun in this caliber anymore. I thought I could put it to use during this ammo crunch, but I don't want to go outside of Glock for practical use. Naturally, Gen5 coming out, I'd like to try that.
I presume I could trade that ammo for 9 or 45 but is kind of PITA to do.
I tried a few local gun shops looking for a gen4 or 5 23. Nothing. No 40 at all. All they had was the 19X and gen 3's in 9mm. I got a good charge of 40 ammo left that I wanted to burn up so I can keep my 9mm stock pile longer. hard time trying to find alot of pistols right now. I might have to bust out the vintage G22 gen 3 to burn up some ammo.
