Perhaps time to quit using them in matches.

I have two left of the OD 08/2007. No visible issues. I have two left of the original orange mags stamped 11/2007. Pieces of the (limiter?) tab on the front inside wall broke off, but they are still going strong. These live in a tub of shared mags and get used and abused.

Certainly, I got my money's worth out of them.

I left 6 or 7 gen2 moe FDE pmags loaded for a couple years though I shot them monthly. The feed lips ended up cracking. Now I do the same with M3s only I use the dust covers as they push the round stack down and take pressure off the feed lips.

it's the continued act of compression that wears springs, not storing them loaded. I load down for added insurance

Ive got 12 year old or older Lancers that have never been empty, always used and reloaded and are right now good to go. Theyve been just excellent- 100% all of them.

The dust cover keeping the feed lips from spreading is a common misconception and false.

Just like I won't take the jab, I can never get those dust covers on the few pmags I have in stock. I usually toss them in the trash. No real reason for it to be that flipping difficult regardless of what they do or don't do.................
