How long can a PMAG stay loaded?

I bought A 10 pack of 20 round thermolds about a year ago. Whole lot was 25 bucks. So I would try them. Never shot em. I had no idea they were that bad.

They are very nearly Tapco, but I don't think anything really eclipses the level of suck that is Tapco.

repeated compression and depression hurts springs. Long-term mag storage is simple; load down 1 or 2, store, and grab when necessary. I have mags that have been loaded and stored for 10+yrs and occasionally cycle through them with no issues and will then use those mags. all good

I have 5 I have been using since I bought them new in the 90's and have used the crap out of them as range mags.

No problems so far...

There are only two reasons I'd ever buy a Thermold, and no way in HELL would I ever pay even ten bucks for it.

1. As a "firsthand learning" sample to give hands-on experience about "this is why serious people don't use this crap."
2. A combat-load set to go with a Canadian C7 or C8 strictly for display purposes only.

Their stripper clips seem okay, but that's about it.

My only experience is with the G3 mags and while I don't want to say anything amazing about them, they never choked on me. Of course this was the days before $2 German surplus. They were also a thousand times better than whoever was making those shitty steel stamping knockoffs.

I believe most are regurgitating comments they read on the internet and not giving first hand experiences.

That happens a LOT.
