That didn’t work because it wasn’t going to. And then came lockdowns, a trashed economy, ruined lives and livelihoods, etc. BLM took off and now that drama has slowed so Covid is back on top of the headlines. It’s gone from give us a couple weeks to slow things to wear a mask or go to jail.

Wear a mask if you want to, don’t if you want to. It’s not going to make a difference because we’re getting played.

    Because he’s right.

I’m more disheartened by my fellow Americans who are literally kowtowing to fear and idiocy begging the government to DO SOMETHING to save us.

    It’s pathetic.

Yeah, this sharia law crap has me wound pretty tight too. I got myself an enhanced screening by TSA today cause he told me he didn't find my skull face mask appropriate. I told him I didn't care what his Haji, morality police, ass found appropriate or not. All it got me was a private room strip down, down to my undies and skull face burka and I damn near missed my flight. That woulda showed him. Not speaking for the OP, but I gotta learn to pick my moments.

I didn't get a chance to pick my moment - I was just trying to pre-pay for gas with a bandana over my face held in place by my left hand. It's like I stepped into something that I never anticipated would be a problem.

I don't have a problem with you making a point with the skull mask. It's probably more efficient than some of the crappy masks I have seen for $1.99 at the convenience store. As I have stated before, little Hitlers are now the last word as to what constitutes an acceptable face covering.

I'm just grateful that the weekly "Must Deal Withs" understand that some of us have ADA/HIPPA medical exemptions; Target/Walmart/other Leftarded megacorps I've generally cut off entirely for the duration except by absolute necessity and would happily make it permanent except that they've driven local indie retail into extinction here, and sometimes I need to find things that have to be picked in-person from a case assortment. I'm just sick of all the stupid people I have to deal with every day, the Karens, the power-tripping idiot governor and the kleptocrats in the Legislature and the Seattle Machine who enable him, the rioting terrorist shitstains befouling our streets and trying to tear our country down on building and statue at a time, all of it.

As if I didn't already have enough to deal with trying to get the family consolidated into one household, get the two Old Ones' retirement/estate planning squared away and start planning how to extract ourselves from this northern vassal of Cancerfornia without having a global pandemic of Full Retard Dumbf*ckery piled on top of it... and the recurring nightmare that the Soy-Addled Sissybitch north of the 49th and his grotesque, criminal-level Rank Incompetence are going to get my girlfriend and her folks killed in the GTA before I can put together an extraction plan to get them across the border and temporarily sheltered down here.

At this point, I'm ready to just say Screw It, Rip The Warning Labels Off Everything, Let Nature Take Its Course.

Selection, training and leadership. Sounds like this clown squeaked by on two and arguably failed by others on 1(but a reasonable person should know that this was wrong). Big thing that was always instilled was do not tell someone to do or stop something that you can't enforce or is illegal, unethical or immoral. One also has to look at what was reasonable in the grand scheme of things here, was anyone truly in danger?

Major, Apologies from the good ones out here, I'm certain you get it and know what happened and why.

Read a article in a medical journal that suggested the masked population has compromised their immune system.

I wear a mask and think everyone should, voluntarily. That is my opinion and I realize not everyone agrees. We are adults and can think for ourselves.

I think our nanny state is drastically over reaching their authority punishing people for doing the very thing they advised us NOT to do just a few months ago. It's all about control, not saving society.

The MSM has the easily frightened convinced that Covid is much more serious than it actually is. Even when they know people who had it and recovered, they think that it's a death sentence if they get it. One of my wife's friends did not leave the house from the first shut down until last week, except to go to work. I cannot even conceive of that.

Please keep in mind that I am Pro-LE. I believe in a robust law enforcement in the US to save the average citizen from having to deal with the bad elements of society. I have worked with 3 different departments in mounted fugitive searches and rescue work in the mountains and back country. In discussions with others, I have considered that I could have taken a different stance - a conciliatory approach, trying to be respectful.

Respect has to earned, not handed out like candy. Anyone who threatens me with a fine and jail for a non-crime that isn't a statute gets ZERO respect. Anyone who threatens me with a made up crime of "Verbal Assault" gets ZERO respect.

Most Tribal Police have no more credibility than a Mall Cop, and generally these reservation officers are not State certified. I provided ZERO compliance by walking right past that tub and only stopped and turned to make my point verbally, then walked off with my back to him giving even more ZERO compliance. The only respect in this whole incident that was maintained was my self-respect. I'm not going say "Yes Sir", "No Sir" and apologize for being a law abiding Citizen in the face of intolerance. I don't suffer people like this easily.

Someone sent me a pic of this Santa Ana Pueblo cop. It's small and not clear but it gives you an idea of what I was facing, and why he felt the need for 3 more back up units when there was no violence or even the threat of violence:

All too often, these characters have a chip on their shoulder, have you handy, and even found chicken-shit to bother you about. They're in their glory.
