Agreed. I've pretty much standardized on either Eezox or Slip2k, depending on which firearm I'm going to clean/lube. I do still use Hoppe's #9 solvent and their counterpart copper solvent - because I literally have nearly 2 dozen different bottles of it; ranging from the little tiny bottle to the oil-tanker sized (32oz?) one. It's not the best/fastest solvent, but it's done fine for me for nearly 20 years, now.

Any of you guys ever glove up to scrub guns? I swear, I've got Eezox in my bloodstream.

I dont use rem oil wipes as an oil per se, I use the wipes to clean shit up, then I apply Frog Lube (which is well hated on this forum) or shooters choice lube for lube.

That's what I use them for.
I'm impressed with the crap they can clean with a quick wipe.
Def not a fan of their oil though.

Never tried Eezox, but I sure use the hopped solvents and Slick2k exclusively now.

I loved the smell of Hopped #9 and takes me back to a kid cleaning guns with my grandfather when I was a kid everytime I crack the bottle. It's always just worked really well for what I needed without being harmful to any coatings or surfaces I used it on.

There are individually packaged wipes containing much better products. I would never use RemOil on any of my firearms.

I still keep a couple of mason jars filled with Hoppes #9, well just because the smell means 'guns' to me and it's effect and cleaning some parts.

I used Slip2000 EWL until I found the Wilson Combat line of gun oils. I found them to perform better with how well the oil would “creep” along parts to lubricate what I couldn’t reach, the thicker oil stays put on slide rails, the oil didn’t seem to evaporate as quickly, and my trigger pulls were measurably lighter. I use the two middle weight oils, thicker one on sliding parts. These were my results, your mileage may vary. I wish they came in the little packets.

I’m not much for Rem oil but I do keep these in my range bag and truck tool kit:

Otherwise, Slip, Ballistol, or Lucas Oil (my newest favorite flavor) for most things gun care...

I've never had anything rust albeit I'm in AZ, and my guns run. I went to go buy these other wipes but they are much more expensive. I'll have to stick with cleaning with Rem wipes and then lubing after they are clean. Obviously, many of you have had guns rust using only Rem oil. I've never used Rem Oil and never will. YMMV. Oh, and I'll continue my enthusiastic use of baby wipes, they are also useful if you have to take a dump in the desert!!
