I have a few high quality BCGs and bolts for spares. Lately, I've just been buying spare parts. Extra firing pins, extractor and ejector springs, extractors, ejectors, extractor and ejector pins, gas rings, cam pins. Why? Because good parts are relatively cheap still.

Centurion BCGs at around $125 are a good deal. IIRC Noveske used to use Centurion BCGs....

I'm also buying Geissele, and ALG LPKs without trigger guards or triggers, just for spares or rebuilds.

THAT was the time time to buy 'just because they were there'. You are paying much more now for less due to supply and demand. Not a great time for buyers to be buying stuff they have no immediate need or use for in my opinion.

Glad I am not doing any builds currently or in any need of spare parts for what I have around.
    A) Toolcraft is fine, but does not have the name value (and expected quality that goes along with it). Also, their bolts are not made in house, but no one knows where they are made. This isn’t bashing Toolcraft, but this is not an Apples-Apples comparison. You’re bringing up a bolt carrier OEM with secondary bolts while the discussion is about a specific newer but well-respected manufacturer’s bolt carrier group.

    B) $125 has been the price for years, and is by far the best value for a standard BCG, in my opinion.

Edit: The fact that Centurion also undoubtedly sources their parts from somewhere (versus manufacturing all in house) does not have any impact on my Toolcraft comments. We all know.

You are entitled to your opinion.

    Aren’t we all.

Even if we can’t quantify “most.”

I think the majority the people on this site would agree that his description of TC BCGs was accurate and fair.

I have had great service from 2 TC BCGs, so not a hater here.

Just picked one up, they also use OCKS on their bcgs.

I could be mistaken, but I thought I read that Sionics, SOLGW, and Centurion all use Microbest bcgs.

Centurion sent out an email stating their bcg's were back in stock. I placed an order last night and received a shipping notification this morning.
