My friend went this route since he has three children and added them when they turned 18. In retrospect, I sort of wish I went this route myself so he could use a couple of my items without me babysitting him. Those feral hogs need all the NFA love they can get!
At least the wife should be able to keep it so I probably should go the Trust route.

Having it in the house is not an issue. Her using it without you around would be. Unless she or someone else is really going to use your NFA items when you're not around, a trust isn't worth the hassle. BTW, NFA items transfer to family tax free when the owner dies, so don't worry about that one.

Might be a case of "get both", though. (Compact suppressed pistol and full-size optic-equipped pistol)
The S&W MP 22lr version has good sights, at least good enough for me and my glasses!

When the Form 4 individual dies, it transfers to whoever you designate tax-free on a form 5.

Mine works well on possums that aren't where they should be with subsonics.

The size is handy, much better for me personally than something like those baby Beretta tip-barrel 22lr's. Some day I may give the large (medium frame?) Beretta a whirl.

Same goes for a Form 1 individual.
