    DD5 V1 or V3

I’m looking for a 16” DD5 in 308 and I keep seeing V1’s listed for significantly higher prices than the V3’s. The only difference that I know of is the V3 has the adjustable gas system, so does anyone know what’s going on with the pricing?

And if you know where to find one at a decent price, I’m all ears. I get the vet discount with Daniel Defense, so everything on Gunbroker is pretty high, but they do actually have the guns whereas DD does not.

A “decent price” may be pretty far out in the future at this point.

Well I found one today at the same price DD was giving me, so that’s solved. Anyone know the differences?

The v3 has an adjustable gas block, traditional charging handle, and a different bcg finish from my understanding. There’s no way I’d opt for a v1 over the newer version.

    DD5 V1 or V3

    - v3 GB has only two settings

    - V3 has new BCG design

    - V1 comes with Geissele SSA-E

    - V1 CH is $h!t

I’d say if you don’t run suppressed and are fine with KMR (DD’s KMR is a stud) get the V1

As stated above i think the biggest factor on price between the 2 is the SSA-E in the V1
