    What color green

What is the name of the green that Gieselee uses on their green reciever extension?

    What is “40mm Green”?

“40mm Green” is a particular shade of color. It is called such because the parts in this rifle are anodized in the same dye tanks as military 40mm grenade cases.

A quick trip to geissele.com shows receiver extensions in black, ddc, gray and OD Green. Mine is OD green. I haven't seen any in 40mm green but that doesn't mean there haven't been any.

I don't know if Geissele still produces the 40mm or changed to OD green. I have a Super Duty that was marked as 40mm green on the box. I wouldn't call it it OD green at all.

I should have looked at their current products before answering.

There was/is the 40mm green that is very bright green. No brown look to it.

Then there is OD green. I have one of these rifles. The rail, upper, lower and recover extension are all different shades of green. They all have some brown to them, and can appear quite dark in the right light.
