What is "The Fabled FAL" and how does it differ from the The Fal Rifle? Is it one of the three original books that were combined to make "The Fal Rifle"?

I’ve got a weird thing where I generally won’t spend money to buy books or other printed material on specific weapon “families” that I don’t personally own, or at the very least have fired at some point.

Probably true for most people. The exception being general histories of firearms.

It isn’t that I’m not interested in stuff I don’t have, like FALs or the FG-42 or whatever, because I am. I think I kinda feel like there’s no sense in dropping $60 on a book about a gun I’ll never get anywhere near.
But on the other hand I have a ton of books about dinosaurs, so I dunno.

If I didn't own half a dozen FALs, I probably wouldn't own the FAL rifle. I don't own an AR-10 but it's relevant to the development of the AR-15. So trust me I get it, especially when it comes to books in the $100+ range.

The Fabled FAL is actually a companion book to The FAL, don't actually think it is worth the money.
I have bought and sold literally dozens of FAL rifles over the last 40 years and these books were a
wealth of information for collectors and dealers.
