That's pretty cool, I appreciate you posting the link too. I do like being able to swap between BD mags and S&W mags but I'm liking the S&W mags enough that I consider the better-mag adapter if I can find enough positive feedback about it.

Nice, looks like something I could use.
Here's an upper I plan to convert to dedicated 22lr:

    Nice. Looks like an 8.5"?

I think I've bought into the idea of the "better-mag" part to use S&W mags. If the pistol brace goes away I can still use the better mag with the my standard .556 SBR.

I have never ran into an issue with SW mags, but I cannot say the same about black dog. They are very good, and for a .22 I wouldnt complain, but starting from scratch the 15-22 mags are fantastic.

I have a 4.5" sbr'd 15-22 and just got one of their new pistols in a few days ago, so I havent had the change to compare the two, but I really like the 4.5" to keep bulk stuff subsonic. Huge difference in the sound and I have a lot of bulk ammo sitting around. If you have been stocking up on standard velocity or will be buying at current prices no matter what, it may not make a big difference. But I like keeping the SV stuff for the longer barrels for now.

I have a 4.5" SBR that is dedicated as a .22LR. Barrel and bolt came from Taccom3g. Originally was using black dog mags. Had a few feeding issues, but hated loading them, so instead of working out the feeding issues, I bought a better mag adapter and a couple S&W mags about 5 years ago. Had to pay particular attention to better mag installation, and it worked very well. So well, I purchased several more S&W mags, and sold all the bad dog mags to a friend.
