I agree. While I wouldn't put something this stupid past them I guess, it just doesn't seem to add up. Confiscate almost 3,000 tons of a highly explosive material and just leave it to take up a lot of storage space for 6 years?

Does the red/brown color of the smoke tell us anything?

Pretty sure there was a building where the crater filled with water is.

Looks like my initial guess of fertilizer may have merit.

All kinds of shit on IG already, people saying that a bird caught on video right before the explosion is some sore of air-to-ground or ground -to-ground munition coming in.

Wow crater on the water side of silo, so silos would have bounced some of the blast away from the city not towards it.

Hezbollah controls Lebanon, so don't believe the stories of fireworks or confiscated Ammonia Nitrate.

Thanks to Democrats legislation that was going forward in Congress to begin to separate Hezbollah from the Lebanese Army has had all the teeth pulled from it.

If you don't follow the news from Lebanon, Hezbollah is going down due to the sanctions hurting Iran and it is taking Lebanon with it.

One article I was reading had quotes from a former ATF explosion investigator, and he said that Ammonium Nitrate usually had yellow/golden brown smoke, not red/pink. Not that that means it was not Ammonium Niitrate, but that it may have had other stuff mixed with it or burning with it.

Another article originally was saying "Sodium Nitrate" was being stored / had been confiscated. Wikipedia says this is often used for fertilizers, pyrotechnics and smoke bombs, and sold rocket propellant (amongst other things).

Hopefully they can get a variety of "experts" from outside of Lebanon in to look at things (residues, etc).
