    Hogue stock question

Hi, who has used the hogue stock on a 12g Mossberg 500? I just put one on mine, but haven’t been able to test it with covid limiting gun range times and ammo prices being so high. I had a Blackhawk pistol grip adjustable stock with limb saver pad on it before but hated shooting it due to the kick. Had to stop shooting slugs and even 00 buck wasn’t fun.
Just hoping this hogue stock makes the gun more manageable now so I can enjoy shooting it.

The short 12 inch LOP stock is good. I liked it.

Most shotguns have way too long of a LOP. (length of pull)

Other than proper fit and a recoil pad it doesn't do much to reduce recoil. You can use reduced recoil loads, practice with birdshot more, or just shoot more often but fire fewer shells.

If you found recoil objectionable with a Limbsaver pad on you may want to get some reviews on your technique or look in to a gas gun.

Limbsavers (and Remington Supercells) are in a whole different league than traditional rubber pads like what is on the Hogue.
