I've been debating the MOS vs. milling for a few months now. I went with a non MOS G45, and will have it milled. It seems like it'd be a tighter fit, whereas the MOS, being more universal to more sights, I could see it potentially being a bit sloppier. No real world data on this, just my conclusion from research. For me, I've decided to go RMR, and it will be dedicated to the slide; having the slide milled seemed to be the best bet.

If that's your plan go with ATEI and get their Pro cut, it will be fit to your exact RMR...no brainer.

That is very tempting. The biggest issue though is I'm pretty invested in my holster and and standard height night sights. I would have to get new sights and a new holster that could accommodate them. I have one of the old kydex Raven holsters before they went all max profit polymer, so I'm loath to give that up anyways in addition to the fact that I hate replacing something that's not broke. I keep using it to do drills with my airsoft Glock hoping it will crack and therefore need to be replaced.

So yea I guess that's kind of what I'm waiting for. When it gives up the ghost I'll go ahead and replace it. I'm also thinking for my next Glock I might go with some kind of custom build with a G19 frame and a longer slide. And I'll also take that opportunity to add some kind of light to it, since I'll have to replace the holster anyways, and of course do the tall sights and RMR.

Ordered the basic G45 the other day. I will probably shoot it a bit before sending it off to be milled. Being new to Glocks, I'm tempted to leave it as is....but are there any must have upgrades? I'm pretty comfortable running it stock. The trigger on the blue label I handled in the store the other day was pretty nice.

I love the G45. For upgrades keep it simple. I like to add an OEM minus connector and replace the sights...assuming they came with the plastic ones. However, I would wait on sights until after you get your slide milled. I like the plain Ameriglo suppressor height sights or the fiber optic ones from TTI.

MOS doesn't seem like a bad way to go if you might try optics later and aren't sure which one you'd go with.
