*sobs quietly* Guess I'll go return mine then...

Seriously...Forward Controls or CHPWS makes the MOS system viable fo sho. Rockin the Defender Plate (V4 IIRC) right now and have nothing but positive things to say. Very straightforward install and really neat how the plate uses sacrificial T-posts...if you break or strip something you haven't ruined the slide.

If I agreed with you, we'd both be wrong.

but it's still on my list.

As I get older I might switch to a MOS platform as my eyes age....so I might pick up a Blue Label G19 next year....

Frankly I think the Shadow Systems 920 Optic is a better mousetrap than Glock's MOS.

A mousetrap is probably a better optics mounting system than MOS is.

(That's sarcasm. The point being that MOS is a low bar for optics mounting systems.)

I just had my Glock slides milled for my RMR. I sent out three slides to have the RMR cut and they work great.

MOS, hands down. Micro red dots are the shit and everybody knows it. The only reason I don't have one is purely a money thing. There's nothing "wrong" with my old Glock 19, so I can't bring myself to replace it. At the same time, I can't justify paying for a new slide or having it milled since that would be more expensive than trading in my current one for a gen 5. So you can see my predicament.

Red dots on pistols aren't the future, they are the present.

I'm not a big fan of the MOS or other manufacturers optics ready slides, with the exception of the Agency AOS and Unity ATOM. I went direct milled for the RMR and have no regrets over it because there isn't a pistol RDS that I would choose over an RMR. Maybe in the future there will be but for now there just isn't.

I bet tirjicon's future red dots will use the same milled footprint.
