Pistol AR Brace SBA3 or SBA4

The Angstadt Arms UDP 9 was coming with the SBA3 brace. They contacted me and the SBA3 is apparently backordered and offered the SBA4 at no change in the price. I've handled the SBA3 and like it a lot but have never seen the SBA4 except online. Thoughts on the SBA4 or wait for the SBA3 to be back in stock?

    Thanks!

SBA3 is much more slimmer/trimmer and my favorite. Only way I see the SBA4 useful is if you desire a lot more cheek weld and a bulky look.

SBA3 is much more versatile, goes forward and back and has QD mount in it. No brainer.

There is a reason the SBA3 is out of stock, it is a better brace especially with the split fix.

Can't speak from A3 s A4 experience, but if you want a weapon to be a little more tail-heavy that might be a niche for the A4. To be honest, on my one AR pistol the SBM4 is mostly there to just be ballast and a mag carrier...

This got me curious.. how does our messed up republic tie into a brace decision lol. This will basically be a $1900 range toy (well $2700 with T1 and mount).. my HD and CCW real stuff are basically 556 and 9. I haven't came up with a scenario where this PCC would be a go to.. even needing a pistol my BCM 11.5 pistol in 556 has been UBER reliable and a sub 2 MOA gun.

The SBA4 is also length adjustable and has a QD mount, two actually. Are you thinking of the SBM4? Does that change your opinion at all?

I have both. The SBA3 is thinner, lighter, has a much better QD position, and is easier to adjust, but the arm brace rubber section is flimsier than the SBA4.

The SBA4 is bigger and bulkier, but the rubber is more sturdy and seems to have a better cheek weld. The SBA4 feels more like a stock to me.

If i had to choose, I think the SBA3 is the better option, IF you get the Split Fix. It helps mitigate the flimsiness of the SBA3 arm wings, which is the only downside of the SBA3.

I went with the SBA4 instead of waiting on the SBA3. I honestly love it... so much better than my Sig Brace on my AR it's not close. Love that its collapsible and if one was interested in cheek weld this would be great. Just need to add the key lock AFG and Aimpoint T2 and all set.
