    Just put a red dot on it and that solves the issue and brings the gun into the 21st Century.

    Its tempting, but it's not really an outdoor weapon. Except in training / practicing.

    I expect I'd need an especially strong mount/optic to withstand the recoil. That means weight.

    I had gunsmith put a PIC rail on my guns. Not that big of a deal. Your shockwave is probably already drilled and tapped for it from the factory.

    Update:

    I found increasing the length of the brace a little puts my head at the right height and that solved the problem.
