I mean we've seen this story a dozen or more times over the last 3 years right?
But, if you're a 17 year old white guy who spent the day improving a ravaged neighborhood and the night providing security for local business's and shoot people who are in the act of trying to murder you........?

What you may have, or may not have said at any time should hold little bearing on the obvious truths we have all seen in this case.

I really love all the emphasis on the border in this case. I thought borders didn't matter.

Seriously though, at his age my "operational area" definitely exceeded a 20 mile radius. I just didn't have a state border nearby. Our out of state adventures were a little rare. Had I lived in his situation I would have been over the border all the time. Especially since Kenosha is the closest "urban" center.

Rittenhouse's trial is scheduled to begin Nov. 1
"Why "zombies"? Because calling it 'training to stop a rioting, starving, panicking, desperate mob after a complete governmental financial collapse apocalypse' is just too wordy." or in light of current events: training to stop a rioting, looting, molotov cocktail throwing, skinny jeans wearing, uneducated bunch of lemmings duped by, or working directly for, a marxist organization attempting to tear down America while hiding behind a race-based name

I grew up 12 miles from a state border and 30 miles from the nearest town in that state. I was there a minimum of twice a month as a teen.

Growing up in Chicago, we knew not to mess about in Wisconsin, roving bands if cheese heads drunk on Milwaukee’s Beast, looking to make examples of FIBs who dared to cross the border. You can actually see the border from ground level because of all the cheese curds strewn about. WHen challenged, you had better be able to say “Out, and about, in a boat” and make it rhyme, or else they KNEW that was polish sausage, not brats on your breath…

Actually, there were checkpoints, but because Wis was one of the last states with an 18YO drinking age…

Going to be interesting to see how it plays out legally. And the jury selection. In that part of Wis, it might be hard to get someone on the jury that either won’t accept anything but the death penalty or on the other side a full acquittal…
The Second Amendment ACKNOWLEDGES our right to own and bear arms that are in common use that can be used for lawful purposes. The arms can be restricted ONLY if subject to historical analogue from the founding era or is dangerous (unsafe) AND unusual.

    It's that simple.

Good news for a fair trial:

    https://abc7chicago.com/kyle-rittenh...lity/11167589/

    Excerpt:

KENOSHA , Wis. -- A Wisconsin judge laid out the final ground rules Monday on what evidence will be allowed when Kyle Rittenhouse goes on trial next week for shooting three people during a protest against police brutality, ruling he'll permit testimony from the defense's use-of-force expert and on how police welcomed Rittenhouse and others carrying guns during the demonstration.

    ***

"If more than one of them were engaged in arson, rioting, looting, I'm not going to tell the defense you can't call them that," the judge said.

The judge also ruled that the two deceased men and the injured man could not be referred to as victims.

"The word 'victim' is a loaded, loaded word," he said. "'Alleged victim' is a cousin to it."

Sounds like this judge has seen Cute Lawyer Tricks from this political hack prosecutor before and is sick of his bullshit.

The trial could still go bad 100 different ways, but this is promising at least. Unlike some other recent/current trials where it all seems to be a joke.

Kyle probably needs to take the stand (yes, I know that's routinely considered a mistake) and I hope he can answer hostile questions honestly and accurately without cracking. If he can, I think he will walk free, or at least get some minor technical charge like unlawful possession. (Not saying it was an unlawful possession.)
