    To think, all they had to do to this gun was add a rail and they would have never needed to do anything else up through present day.

    I thought the two pin frame was addressing a real issue but then I don't know why they would bring out a pistol with the old frame design. What's the truth of it?

    IIRC, the problem with the two-pin frames wasn't with the 9mm guns but with the 40 and 357 SiG guns. They went to three pin frames for the 9mms for economy of manufacture at scale. (I recall hearing the same thing about the Gen4 dual-spring RSA assemblies - intended to fix an issue with the 40-cal guns but applied to the 9mm because economy of scale.)
