    My favorite combat handguns!
Let those who are fond of blaming and finding fault, while they sit safely at home, ask, ‘Why did you not do thus and so?’I wish they were on this voyage; I well believe that another voyage of a different kind awaits them.”

I am not a Beretta fan, but those grips and color combo really stand out!

    Well done

    Part Two: Frame Stuff

Differences on checkering between the M9A3 versus the 92X Centurion, both are marked from Gallatin, TN.

Moving onto VZ Recon grip panels, Gen 1 on the left vs Gen 2 on the right. Using a Mitutoyo Absolute Digimatic caliper, the measurements were taken right above the bottom grip panel screws.

Gen 1 on the M9A3 is 1.3510" and Gen 2 on the 92X Centurion is 1.4080."

    Gen 1

    - It has a smooth panel where your thumb and inside of your index finger knuckle rests
    - Has a smooth radius along the straight edges, thus feeling much smaller and comfortable

    Gen 2

    - Absolutely pulverizes your soft supple palms
    - Does not have a radius along the straight edges, sharp golf ball cuts extend all the way to the edges and up to the very top

Anecdotal information: The Wilson Combat "slim" Vertec grips are thicker than the OEM 92X plastic grips and are not as textured. I was pretty disappointed at the lack of traction so I returned them.

What is that black line on the 92X Centurion NP3 hammer?
Do you like the WC mag guides? They look good, but do they make a difference during mag reloads?

I really wish my 92fs had a rail. But I will manage without. (I have other "cp's") Looking into grips next.
My 92FS, with WC fluted guide rod, 14# recoil spring, wc shock buffer and most importantly the WC 14# hammer spring, is absolutely my favorite pistol to shoot. I recently joined a range-club with steel reactive targets and my pistols are finally getting a whole lot of love. Wish they looked as good as yours. Nice pieces there contax
