Question AR9 11” pistol “max or optimal” sight-in distance.

I recently built a AR9 pistol w/a 11” barrel & man it’s been fun to plink with. I used a A2 upper & a Non F marked FSB. This will eventually be a “truck” gun, but for now it’s a for fun gun.

My question is, what is a good distance for setting up the sights? Right now it’s right around 45 - 50 yds, only because it was quicker to set it at that distance & get right to plinking. I would like to set it further. After I did some research there really isn’t a consensus on a distance. Some say 40 - 50yds while others say 75yds & even a 100yds. Given the scarcity & price of ammo these days I don’t want to waste more time & money if it’s not worth it. I would think for a 11” inch barrel a 100yds would be to far, however I don’t have any data to back that up.

Any thoughts or suggestions on the optimal or max distance for sighting it in at?

For 115/124 gr, zero at 75 yards or .6" high at 50 yards. It will be pretty flat (+ - .6") out to 75 yards and 2.3" low at 100 yards.

Zero 147 gr subsonic 1" high at 50 for a 75 yd zero, it will be 3" low at 100.

I run 115/124 and zero at 75 yds. for reasons AL stated.
It’s basically ON and useable to 100 yds with no “thinking” involved; Dot on target where you want impact, press trigger.
