Engrave over, like tattooing over the name of an ex.

No idea on this stuff beyond they have been selling it for years so I assume it works and also assume it is a common product that can be bought for pennies on the dollar if you can figure out what it is.

Weld over the markings, mill flush, bead blast, refinish. A good gunsmith who is a capable welder will know exactly how to do it.

And if you don't do it that way, you will end up with a ghost.

Personally I'd just add waffenampts, put it on GB and claim it's a rare early prototype captured by the Russians from the Germans at the end of the war. Hail Victory in English is clearly evidence that the British were involved in the cooperative effort to exploit radically advanced German tech.

It's hard to be a ACLU hating, philosophically Libertarian, socially liberal, fiscally conservative, scientifically grounded, agnostic, porn admiring gun owner who believes in self determination.

    Chuck, we miss ya man.

In terms of getting rid of it, about your only real option is to weld and refinish. I wouldn't remove material by milling, grinding, or sandblasting, since it's a stamped receiver and such a large area right there next to the trunnion where it flexes a lot.

I would definitely get rid of it, though, and as soon as humanly possible. Either that or take a dremel and carve three downward arrows across it. Then if you get surrounded by Antifa you can tell them about how it's a war trophy you took off of a dead Nazi.
Are you sure you understand the meaning of ‘neo-Nazi’, or the origins of the Azov battalion...?

Dude they have runes on their insignias, 20% were self professed neo Nazis at last check, and they’ve been written off by the US as a neo Nazi organization. They don’t even try to hide it. They flaunt it.

    Azov is Ukrainian, not Russian.

There is a fair amount of symbolism used, and there is historical significance to that, specifically, in order to justify attacks on ethnic Russians.

Suffice it to say, Russian neo-Nazis are like hens teeth.

Most of the Azov guys are Russians from eastern Ukraine.

Neo Nazis are very common in Russia. They self identify as nationalist organizations. Other neo nazi groups from Western Europe go to Russia for military style training that’s illegal in their own countries.

But most ethnic Russians have some degree of antisemitic feelings. So when the wall fell they were easily won over by nationalist orgs.
