Just picked up my long-awaited for Beretta 80X Cheetah Launch Edition. It took nearly 5 months. It is a beautiful and well-crafted pistol and came in a beautiful leather case.

Are we allowed to discuss .380 here?
No. .380 is a sin.
Just kidding about the 380. It's a gorgeous gun.
It is all good. From the pre-sale reviews from those who managed to shoot them at the Beretta Day shooting event at SHOT SHOW 2023, they are an extremely accurate and soft shooting pistol with a very nice trigger. They used their experience with the 92X Performance trigger and applied it to the 80X.

I imagine that it would be a soft shooter and a fun gun to shoot.
I got to handle one of these today - the DA trigger is fantastic. Wow.
But, I've been burned on one of these years ago, already. I had a 85 (the single stack Cheetah), and it about tore up the bottom joint in my thumb (in the web of my hand). The blow back on the 85 is very stout. After 50 rounds on 1 range trip, my thumb joint was killing me. I didn't want to, but I had to sell the gun, after that.
Recoil was more than a 9mm, and very sharp due to the blowback action...
Maybe, if I had bought the double stack version (the 84) - the wider backstrap would have spread out that recoil more. I don't know.
This 80X looks and feels nice. And, the 80x IS double stack.... But without trying one first, I can't make myself spend that much $ again to take such a chance.
