Pull up and download the above and you will have most all the Terminal Ballistic Data developed by the International Wound Ballistic Assn whose director was Col Martin Fackler MD, Cmdr Army Wound Ballistics Lab, Presidio (now closed) as Fackler retired and passed about 18 months ago. I knew him since 80s.

Membership fees were 60.00 per year and it ran for ten years so the below info is worth 600.00 as the info was published over a ten year period. You will note there is no advertisement in the mags.

This is the background that changed all the wound ballistics theories utilized today.

Fackler had a interesting saying which went: Bullets make holes, holes leak blood, loss of blood causes death, thus bigger holes leak faster and two big holes (in the front, out the back) leak twice as fast.

Couple that with tumbling bullets (after body entry) and high velocity you get quicker performance.

Bottom line is for one shot effectiveness you need a round 6.5MM or larger and a solid thoracic cavity hit to get the move effective terminal ballistics.

Get a copy of the NATO Handbook on Emergency War Surgery, turn to page 13 and read the chapter on "Missile Caused Wounds". Col Fackler was asked to author this chapter. Take a look at ebay and you will see a number of them for sale. You want the one dtd 1988.

Also get a copy of https://history.amedd.army.mil/books...cs/default.htm This one is a real attention getter and shows actual wounds caused by 6.5 Jap Rifles etc

Why are you reposting threads with the exact same content you posted before? FYI you can just bump your old thread.
