Dillon 750 223 loading problem solved!

I have had an issue with loading 223 from this press since I got it. Every session started great but by the time I got to 20-30 rounds, the oal would be .01 longer than the first and would put the 77smk well over mag length. I knew something had to be loosening up, but the dies were tight and I couldn’t think of anything else. Then today I noticed that the screw on the powder check die was loosening up and wouldn’t let the tool head raise far enough. This may or may not be an issue with anyone else. But I thought I would throw it out there because I was more than a little disappointed that a 1600 press didn’t load as consistent as my 120 dollar lee turret press. But now after 200 rounds- perfect.

Put some vibratite on that screw. You can apply it over oil. You can loosen screw and retighten it.

Good catch, Chamber143. Thanks for sharing. I am about to start my first big batch of 223.
