Springfield Armory's new bolt gun

Daniel Defense has their Delta 5, and now this one from Springfield . Seems that AR companies are hedging their bets with more politically safe bolt guns. Not really sold on these carbon-wrapped barrels yet, although they be the future:

Part of it also may be trying to cash in on the precision rifle craze.

For the longest time, I heard "Given similar calibers, the bolt gun will always be more accurate than the semiauto". I guess that's no longer always the case with modern rifles and manufacturing techniques.
