    Is Trump Trying to Lose?

In 2016 people speculated at times that Trump was not really that serious about winning. You’d have to look at all the things that have happened since then and especially in 2020 and it’s hard to come up with actions he could’ve taken that could’ve sabotage himself more. Besides his overt actions, there is the lack of actions also taken that would have made his election much more likely. The guy seems to not be able to make a decision or an action that doesn’t hurt himself.

Mike Pence laid bare how badly Trump sabotages his own campaign. Not that Biden does a great job, but we keep on saying he’s actually in early stages of dementia.

I have a feeling we’re setting ourselves up for a “Hillary moment“ like the Dems had after the 2016 election, where everybody just starts talking about how they never really liked the candidate and what the hell was wrong with them.

Trump is a narcissistic asshole leader. I was really hoping that the “leader” part would take control at some point.

Now I see that he won’t do a virtual debate? He’s in the hole, he hast to dig himself out, Biden is more than happy not to debate again. So Trump just walks in the trap, and Wellowes around like an injured beast, damaging himself even more.

Someone needs to grab Trump by the lapels, pull him in close, get his attention, and tell him “one termer. Are you a Carter bitch? Obama was a two-term or, imagine what he’s going to say after you fail and lose this election. You’ll be seen as a bigger loser than John McCain.”
The Second Amendment ACKNOWLEDGES our right to own and bear arms that are in common use that can be used for lawful purposes. The arms can be restricted ONLY if subject to historical analogue from the founding era or is dangerous (unsafe) AND unusual.

    It's that simple.

At THIS point in time- there aint nothing either one of them could do that would change a single vote.
No "new/old" evidence of this or that...no "startling revelations"...about nothing. We KNOW them both...we know what they are, what theyve done, and where they stand. If someone, today, is "undecided"...DONT VOTE...YOURE AN IDIOT.
Trump is gonna do Trump. Ill say this, and yall can screech & moan & laugh or whatever you like: This election AINT UP TO US. Almighty God has ALREADY decided this, and this country will go in whatever direction HE chooses..not you or I.

I agree. He is our best hope honestly, but he can definitely do a better job with this character.

I do entertain the theory that Trump never actually wanted to win in 2016. According to my theory, he assumed he would lose and wanted to use the loss as a way of staying in the limelight, perhaps going on a nationwide tour railing against the “rigged” electoral system, perhaps setting up his own cable news network, who knows? Imagine the boost to his ego if he had lost the election but still managed to draw more media attention than Hillary. He could have organized a counter rally during the inauguration. He could have all the attention but none of the responsibilities of actually holding office.

But there was one thing he didn’t count on - Hillary Clinton being so corrupt, uncharismatic and unlikable that she actually managed to lose despite her opponent being Donald Trump.

So I have to wonder if on Election Night 2016 if Trump’s reaction to the news that he won was along the lines of “What?? Oh you’ve gotta be shitting me..”

This theory would also be consistent with the story that a lot of Trump’s people had other jobs lined up. And it might also explain the somewhat chaotic personnel situation with the Trump administration staff - because there was no serious plan in place for what to do in the event of a victory.

Of course Trump’s ego wouldn’t let him step down so once he did win it was on at that point. Likewise his ego wouldn’t allow him to not seek re-election. But he can certainly behave like a bull in a china shop and try to make sure it doesn’t happen again.

But ultimately it’s just a little side theory of mine.

Not trying to flame, honestly, but this is why I have a problem with religion/belief in God. Why would an omnipotent being who created us, want us to suffer under socialism? The idea that we must suffer at the hands of some deity like ants under a magnifying glass being held by some weird kid in order to achieve some other state of enlightenment always seemed strange to me.

And why would he decide to have Trump win in 2016 only to have him lose in 2020 and make the US Venezuela? I know, people will say "don't question God's plan" but it why not question it?

Anyway, I am not sure Trump is trying to lose. Having said that, he is doing the same thing now as he did in 2016, so if he was trying to lose then, maybe he is now.

It all depends on if one believes that it's part of a "plan" or if it's just the consequences of a fallen, rebellious world. I believe that because humanity said we want to live without God, and God said fine, have it your way.

After four years of proving the political naysayers wrong... it's interesting the number of people who still think they know better than Trump.

Trump isn’t trying to lose. In fact I don’t think he believes it’s possible. He’s just very erratic and apparently becoming more so.

Also agree. A lot of the criticisms from the left aren't completely wrong. The problem is that the left's candidates are even more narcissistic (Obama is like the all-time poster child) and even worse assholes (Hillary, etc.). Our current reality is basically the Kang/Kodos presidential election Simpsons episode, the lizard-ruled planet from Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. But Trump, truly in spite of tons of faults, does make a few good decisions here and there - the judicial picks, the public and scathing rejection of the white-hating "unconscious bias training" indoctrination that was infesting the government, etc.

I think Trump made the right choice on refusing to an online-only debate format, which would have been far more favorable to Biden and allowed any type or amount of moderator bias to be applied.

I don't know which is worse, that we have two septuagenarians who are rapidly losing their minds to choose from, or that neither party could field a candidate who could beat two septuagenarians who are rapidly losing their minds?
What if this whole crusade's a charade?
And behind it all there's a price to be paid
