    Trigger resets by safety

Hobbled together lower by someone else. Gun fires, extracts, ejects, and chambers a new round. Hammer does not reset. When I place the safety back on safe, the trigger resets. Before I rip it apart, what’s going on? Visually it looks ok to me inside of the lower.

Only thing I can think of is the end of the trigger which goes under the safety selector (where the disconnector/disconnector spring sits) could possibly be an issue. Maybe it's a little out of spec?

Is it difficult to move the selector?

It's still odd because it sounds as if the hammer is being cocked as the bolt moves back after extracting & ejecting the brass.

If it were me, I'd take the FCG out, as well as the safety selector (have to remove the pistol grip). Only takes a few minutes.

Inspect and maybe use a different FCG if you have one?
