    Reccomend An ACOG

I want an ACOG. What is absolutely the best ACOG to get for the M4 platform?

I already have several high-end LPVO, Aimpoint, and EOTech.

Some will say the 80's is calling and wants it's optic back. I get it. This is something I want. There's a bunch to choose from. Money no object. .223/5.56. No reticle preference. I think I prefer LED but can't really tell you why.

    Dazzle me.

TA31 is probably the most popular, but I prefer the TA33 over all. It’s lighter and has a much better eye relief

TA33 has the best eye box light weight, small size. I think it’s the best one of the ACOGS.

3.5x30 Version. Yes, it’s longer and heavier than the others but all considered it’s better than the rest. Just wish it had the ACSS reticle.

They say the TA11 has the best eye box of the 3x+ ACOGs, though I've never used one.

My old TA44 had amazing eye box limits, but it was the 1.5x version.

These days it'll be whatever you can find.

I've had a buddy looking for specific ACOGs and it's been slim pickins lately.

I have the TA01, TA33, TA11 and TA110. I like them all, but rank the 01 and 33 behind the 3.5x 11 and 110. The 01 has great field of view with bad eye relief. The 33 has great eye relief, but narrow field of view.

The field of view and eye relief of the 3.5x’s are the best compromise IMO. I’d give the edge to the LED version because the red crosshair is so vivid. But the TA11 is very close with less bulk and weight. I would not get rid of either.

I have a 4X ACOG for one of our M4s and a ton of 3X ACOGs on our AKs and M1As.

The 4X takes a little more getting used to at closer ranges. If I had to go it again I'd go with a 3X.

All are dual illuminated, no batteries.
