    Western Field 720B EHM

Recently acquired this gun which was built in the 70's on a Heym mauser action from what I've researched. It has supposedly never been fired. I need to locate a base or rings so I can mount a optic and a more lefty friendly stock. Not having any luck with google-fu.

If it's a drilled and tapped 98 Mauser you should be able to use commercial 98 mounts. That's what I am using on my Interarms 30-06 - Warne extension base to be exact. I would suggest e-mailing Warne and asking them.

Should be a nice rifle. Mauser actions really are special to my eyes. Boyds may have the stock you want.

If I recall Western Field was the badge name for Montgomery Wards catalog sales. We used to call them "Monkey Wards". Nice rifle.

Edit - they are not as in-demand as I assumed they would be.
