I have two G2 lights with after market led modules than put out a ton of light. My son's has been used to find lost keys on a ball field and I have used mine at work to read container numbers of cans stacked 5 high.

I just bought 5 300 lumen 5 mode modules from a firm in HK for 25 bucks with free shipping. The 300 lumen figure may be bogus, but the damn things light up trees in the park behind my condo well enough to differentiate the leafs.

They work in the G2 and the clone aluminum 2 battery versions that can be had for a lot less than the G2.

The only difference between the G2 and G2L are the LED and the aluminum head assembly. Throw an aluminum head and the LED module in a G2 and you have a G2L.

Does A.R.M.S. make a quick-release flashlight mount for a Surefire light for a Knight's RAS system? If so, anyone use one? Got some snap-shots?
    Thanks,

    TLR-1 at 12 o'clock on a DDM4

Another TLR-1 on a MI FSB mount on 14.5" BCM upper

I tried the light on the MOE, but the handguard was just too crowded. The MI mount is pretty porky, but I like where it puts the light. I saw that someone had cut the off side mount down to save weight and I may go that route in the future.

I'm happy with the light out of the C4 lights. Good throw and brightness at distances I can still clearly see detail. The toggle is nice and easy to blip and I quick index lets me hit the constant on as well.

Question fpr Rob s, Mr. Bieler or anyone else........

running a front sight light mount. Have you run these through
a carbine class without problems? Heat problems? I can't help but
wonder about a light mounted at that position all day with heat from
the FSB traveling through the mount to the body of the flashlight and
to the ever tempermental CR123's of most weapons light, whether metal
bodied or polymer. Does the light still work fine during a night shoot?

Thanks for any input, I really would like to get one of these, but this is
the only concern I have regarding them.

No carbine classes yet. That should be corrected this spring.

I've put a little over 300 rounds through this one in a session and I didn't notice any significant heat. I think the MI base itself absorbs a bunch of it. The light didn't seem to get hot.

i'm not so sure thats true now, i bought a brand new in the package G2L that had the same plastic head as the G2. it was a olive drab light, i did check the head lamp assembly since i had only bought G2's in the past and installed the led assembly.
