Arisaka / Malkoff 300 series light mounted with an AMS Machine Low-Pro mount.

I threw the same light on one of my rigs and to be honest I was pretty underwhelmed. Back to Surefire I went.

Yeah - they’re not the brightest, or have the best throw - but their compactness and momentary only tailcap fit the bill perfectly for my SR16 pistol builds.

For maximum output the trick is to use a M600 head on a 300 series body with a 16340 Li-ion cell. Runtime will be short but if you need the more compact 300 body vs. the 600, you can get the higher output.

Interesting! I started to do some experimenting / studying on alternative configurations etc., but then I caught wind of the O.W.L. and decided to let Sean @ Cloud Defensive do the heavy lifting. I'll most likely outfit all of my long guns with the O.W.L. once I have a chance to put one thru its paces...

Unity Tactical MLOK compatible Fusion Mount... Nothing gets a light closer to the rail in my experience.

I’ve been away from shooting and the forums for a couple years. Are people moving away from pistol lights in ARs for a HD setup? I still have a Streamlight TLR-1 infront of my FSP at 12 o’clock.

I don't believe that is the case at all. Between Surefire, Malkoff, Arisaka, Cloud Defensive, etc. there are now plenty of components for Scout-style WMLs to Lego together.
