I didn’t like the factory grips so I tried a rubber Hogue grip. I love G10 so I switched to that instead.

    I also have a S&W Performance Center 627 2.5” 8 Shot 357 Magnum.

I had a 627 4 inch and fired it alot the short time I had it. I was disappointed with the trigger and the frame was just too big for my hand it seemed. Like the trigger was too far from my palm.

It needed a trigger job but I didnt like it enough to put money in it.

I've had a Redhawk, too. I prefer the smaller, lighter guns. I've had two Gp100's and find them just a little bigger / heavier than I prefer.

I could do an L frame at most.

An Sp101 in .44 special would be great. Blued.

The S&W 69 being .44 mag is also too heavy.

That 629 sure is good-looking but it's a wide, heavy gun. 40 oz loaded or more.

S&W 69 might fit your bill though it has a 4" barrel

The S&W 69 Combat Magnum has a 2.75" barrel. L Frame, 5 shot, just might fit the bill.

    Hm..that M69 2.75 in might be it.

It would be nice if there something between the 35 oz M69 2.75 and a 21 oz Charter.

The 329PD is only 25.2 oz, but it is Scandium framed and a 4".

I'd buy one of those if I saw it. Weve had s couple older Rossi's in the family and theyve worked fine as long as the lead wasnt allowed to build up.

One of them has seen plenty of .357 through it over the years and it's been fine. Made in the 80's iirc.

Perhaps small .44's are one of those guns that never had large production numbers, but those who bought them tend to keep them, therefore used ones dont come up for sale much?
